Housing Patterns and Fair Housing Laws
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This module covers compliance with Fair Housing laws at the federal, state and local levels. Fair housing laws, unethical practices and enforcement of the law will be reviewed. We examine whether or not Fair Housing laws have succeeded or failed in substantially altering the segregated housing patterns of American cities. The protected classes covered by law will be discussed. Both historical background and current cases and issues will be contrasted. Both the real estate practitioner and members of the general public will benefit from this informative seminar.
